State of the Union: a discussion of the Madison FOSS community

PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE IN TIME!

If you're seeing this in a group that you think isn't Linux related, I disagree in some way.  Typically I am cautious to invite a subset of groups to meetings.  However, this is a very important meeting.  There are some very basic infrastructure questions like "how long is a president president for" and "when are elections" that currently have no answers.  I want answers to these mundane questions, but also, I want to think big picture.  Can MadLUG be doing more to help schools and non-profits?  Is it proper for MadLUG to engage in non-Linux libre software (FOSS) promotion?  What sort of presentation overlap do we have with LOPSA?

I need people from other organizations to be at this meeting for it to be a successful meeting.  I also need people that are die-hard GNU/Linux users that haven't been to a presentation in a while.  Why haven't you been to a presentation?  That's not admonishment, that's a question that needs answered and then the problem resolved!

I have reserved a 10-person room at The Great Dane at Hilldale.  Please let me know if you can come so if we need a bigger or smaller space I can change the reservation.  18% gratuity will be included and no separate checks, so please bring cash.

I look forward to seeing you all!

President Obama has many plan

President Obama has many plan in our country. It makes me happy knowing that he really emphasize on the unemployed people and having a plan for jobs. This has been a sore point of fiscal conservatives, and a growing segment of the American people. He had promised to make cuts, so President Obama has announced a partial spending freeze on discretionary spending. Which I know can also help us to be away from debt.
